Global Endangered Species Modeling and Mapping

Description

Using data from the International Union for Conservation of Nature on threatened species and two agricultural models: food demand and crop yield deficiencies, global maps were created in JMP to visualize where species conservation efforts focused on alleviating agricultural land demand would be most effective.

The four maps shown to the left focus on mammalian species and demonstrates how solving inefficient farming in Africa and Southeast Asia would "save" the highest number and proportion of mammalian species.
