The Microfiber Pollution & the Apparel Industry project was a thesis project in partnership with Patagonia Inc. to quantify microplastic pollution from the laundering of their synthetic clothing and inform the company on potential solutions moving forward. After completion of the project, the results were then submitted for peer review and publication in the Environmental Science & Technology journal. View the paper below:

To create the graphics and produce the statistical analyses for both the Patagonia report and journal article, I used the following software:
- R
- Excel
- MATLAB
- ImageJ
The scripts I created were used for analysis and visualization of further research results by Patagonia. These analysis and visualization scripts saved hundreds of hours in manual data manipulation and analysis.
